The Rise Anyway Project is a podcast and YouTube space for honest conversations about what it means to rebuild after life has shaped us in ways we didn’t choose—exploring healing, attachment, and becoming your true, authentic self after leaving a high-control religious group or environment.
Leaving often means rebuilding from scratch: identity, relationships, money, safety, belonging. But underneath it all are deeper layers — attachment wounds, subconscious conditioning, fear-based programming, and survival strategies that once kept us safe.
The YouTube channel explores:
• Attachment styles
• Cult and religious conditioning
• Rewiring old programming
• Core wounds and subconscious belief patterns
• Nervous system regulation
• Rebuilding secure connection — with yourself and others
Through raw storytelling, neuroscience-informed tools, and honest reflection, this space is for anyone who has ever felt the tension between wanting to move forward… and not wanting to bypass what they’ve been through.
If you were raised as a Jehovah’s Witness, Mormon, or in any fear-based or high-control environment (including being raised by emotionally controlling caregivers), and feel a pull to share your story, you’re invited to reach out for a potential opportunity to be interviewed on The Rise Anyway Project, where stories of healing and rebuilding are honored.

We rise anyway.
Not because it’s easy—
but because healing is possible.
