Hello — I’m Emily

I’m a life coach, motivational speaker, and a creative soul focused on attachment, nervous system rewiring, and helping people rise through challenges without bypassing them.

My approach is evidence-based, grounded in Integrated Attachment Theory™ (IAT), and focused on real, embodied transformation — practical, human, and lived, not just theoretical.

My Story

Between being adopted, growing up in a doomsday high-control religious environment, navigating unhealthy relationships, experiencing significant loss, coming out 🌈 later in life, and dealing with prolonged health issues —  all while having a very sensitive nervous system… I’ve had plenty of “oh… that explains a lot” moments when it comes to attachment.

For a good portion of life, I had learned how to survive inside systems and relationships shaped by fear, conditional belonging, and self-abandonment. As a result, attachment patterns and nervous system responses ran deep — even if I consciously wanted to change them.

My healing journey has taken me through many paths, modalities, and seasons of growth — with real progress, some setbacks, and a lot of honest self-reflection. I don’t position myself as someone who has “arrived.”  What I bring is lived experience, deep respect for the process, and firsthand work in rewiring attachment patterns toward something more secure.

Alongside my personal journey, I bring over 15 years of experience in social services and the mental health field as a guidance counselor, with a foundation in trauma-informed care. My approach integrates a range of modalities, with a strong focus on attachment and subconscious rewiring.

What I’ve learned—both personally and professionally—is that real change doesn’t come from forcing positivity or trying to outthink old patterns. You can’t tell the subconscious what not to do and expect it to cooperate—it’s like saying, “Don’t think of a red Corvette.” (And now your brain is probably picturing one 😜)

Who I am as a coach? I’m authentic, honest, empathetic — with a healthy dose of humor and grit. I show up as myself so my clients can do the same. I normalize the messiness of being human while holding space for real, lasting growth—supporting you as you move toward greater safety, deeper connection, and a more secure relationship with yourself and others.

Rise Anyway
